Fermentation Workshop

If you would like to learn about probiotics, like kimchi, kombucha, sauerkraut, water kefir, and also learn how to improve your gut health, reduce inflammation and have some fun and connect with a sustainable and food waste-conscious community, this fermentation workshop is for you!

Experienced teacher Catalina will help you to learn useful skills for keeping a happy and healthy microbiome and reducing inflammation. You will cover topics such as cultured condiments, lactic fermentation and dairy ferments. You will learn amazing skills used for thousands of years that have been proven to keep you healthy.

Taught by an experienced fermentation enthusiast, this workshop will cover the science behind fermentation, as well as practical tips and techniques for getting started at home. You’ll have the opportunity to taste a variety of fermented foods and drinks, like fermented cashew spread, chocolate truffles with miso and fermented cream, kimchi, sauerkraut, kombuchas, water kefir, fermented ketchup, etc.

The cost is £42 per two hour workshop, including the tasting and the ability to prepare and ferment something of your own during the workshop to take home and enjoy. No prior experience necessary, all welcome!
